Passionate Musician and Teacher
Welcome to my musical journey! I have been passionate about music for many years, starting with the trumpet in fifth grade and handbells in third grade. Over the past two decades, I have had the incredible opportunity to perform in a variety of settings. After completing my high school education, I pursued my studies in Liberal Arts and Music Education at Diablo Valley College, Los Medanos College, and California State University East Bay. Since leaving CSU East Bay I have been actively performing, teaching, and conducting across styles, genres, and age groups throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Currently, I enjoy playing gigs, and I also have the privilege of directing two handbell ensembles at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, as well as leading the Walnut Creek Jazz Band. Music continues to be a central part of my life, and I am excited to share my passion with others!
I have always enjoyed the art of teaching and I am fortunate enough to have been teaching for over 15 years, with over 100 students coming through my doors.
Whether a student is just starting out, preparing for college or professional auditions, or a comeback player looking to take up a long-neglected hobby, and no matter if a student wants to study commercial, classical, or jazz, I’ve found that I can adapt my teaching style and methods to suit a variety of needs.

In addition to 1-on-1 style lessons, I also enjoy teaching through my conducting and directing ensembles. I firmly believe that no matter how experienced a person or a group is, there is always more to learn.

My Current Ventures
I am always looking for more to do. That being said, I do have many activities that I do on an ongoing basis. Below, you can find links to websites of groups that I am affiliated with. If you’d like to see me in person, these are the places to do it!
